I-Drive Live Renamed The Orlando Eye

Unicorp National Developments, Inc. has renamed their Orlando project formerly known as I-Drive Live to The Orlando Eye.  The rebranding is a reflection of the main attraction, The Orlando Eye, a 425 foot observation wheel in Merlin Entertainments' lineup of new attractions for The City Beautiful which will also include a Madame Tussauds wax museum and Sea Life Aquarium.  Other confirmed tenants at The Orlando Eye include Bar Jour, Pretzelmaker, Cafe de Paris, Tin Roof live music bar, Cowgirls, Carrabba's, Outback Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Yard House, Seafood Republic, Dicks Last Resort, Ben & Jerry's, and Sugar Factory.  A second, neighboring project is to be anchored by an 18,000 sq. ft. Walgreens with Cooper Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Wawa, BJ's Restaurant & Brewery, a gift shop, Cold Stone Creamery/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Red Robin Gourmet, Burgers, Resort Partners, O'Neill's surf shop, Starbucks, LongHorn Steakhouse, Chuy's Tex-Mex, and a UPS store signed. Kings Bowl America is already opened.  Speculation is that a 520 foot US Thrill Rides Polercoaster may also be joining the mix.  News reports in November confirm that "the world's tallest roller coaster" is to be built somewhere in Florida.

Construction on the actual Orlando Eye observation wheel is underway.  You can view the work site on Unicorp's web cam.
