Disney Switches All Parks From FASTPASS to FastPass+ For All Guests

January 23rd, 2014 8:18 AM by Brent Ferry

As of today, January 23, 2014, all four Disney parks have updated to, and extended to all guests, the new FastPass+ system in conjunction with their rollout of MagicBands, use of RFID technology, and the My Disney Experience interface.  The "old" ticketed FASTPASS system (now being referred to as Legacy FASTPASS) is no longer available.

FastPass+ allows visitors to choose 3 FastPass+ selections for attractions and or entertainment options each day for one park.  Onsite/Disney Resort Guests have the opportunity to make these selections up to 60 days in advance.  With today's implementation in Epcot, Offsite/Non Disney Resort Guests are also able to make FastPass+ selections in all 4 Disney theme parks; however, (during the current testing phase at least) they must wait to make those selections the day of their visit at the in park kiosk locations.

The whos, wheres, and hows of this system has been ever changing in the past several months as it has been rolled out so additional changes are likely.  But, for now, here are the attractions and entertainment options which can be selected together with the current in park kiosk locations.
