Builder Confidence Highest Since April 2006

The NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) released this week showed a reading of 52 points - the first time it has been above 50 since April 2006 and the largest monthly gain (8 points) since 2002.  The score reflects that a greater number of Builders believe that market conditions are good versus those that feel it is poor.  An increasing number of buyers are gravitating toward new construction with decreasing inventory in the existing home market.  Interest rates remain at historical lows.  Home prices are increasing.  A 29% increase in housing starts is forecasted for this year.

In the Disney area vacation home market, two notable new construction opportunities are available - Paradise Palms and ChampionsGate.  Both communities have experienced high demand, swift sales, and regular price increases.  Great pre-construction opportunities are available with choice of lot/plan and low deposits in future development phases.  Deliveries in 2014.  Contract now to lock in your price.  Availability from the mid $200s.

Paradise Palms Resort (Now in its final phase.  Hurry before it's SOLD OUT.)

The Retreat at ChampionsGate (The areas newest vacation home resort.)
